Olivia R. Wease, PA-C, has joined the clinical team of Northern Urgent Care, a division of Northern Regional Hospital that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with non-emergency injuries and conditions.
Born and raised in Kings Mountain, a city just west of Charlotte, Wease brings a unique perspective and a commitment to exceptional patient care. Growing up in a family of pharmacists, Wease spent her formative years in her father’s pharmacy, where she later worked as a pharmacy technician throughout high school. This early exposure to healthcare ignited her passion for making a positive impact on people’s lives. While navigating her path in the medical field, Wease considered various options, ultimately deciding on the role of a Physician Assistant (PA-C). This choice is driven by her aspiration to bridge healthcare gaps in underserved communities.
Wease says her approach to patient care is marked by an unwavering commitment to treating everyone equally, regardless of their circumstances or background. She is dedicated to ensuring all patients feel valued, heard, and well-cared for. Building patient-provider relationships founded on trust, transparency, and optimism is at the core of her practice.
“I am excited to be a part of a smaller organization that fosters a close-knit community of support,” says Wease. She is particularly enthused about the diverse range of cases she will encounter in the urgent care setting, where she anticipates addressing a wide range of medical concerns, including sick visits, fractures, lacerations, and sports injuries.
She holds a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from High Point University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, with a minor in Spanish, from the same institution.
In her spare time, Olivia enjoys gardening and tending to houseplants, culinary exploration, coffee, diving into books, and embarking on a musical journey by learning to play the guitar.
