Dr. David D. Jackson retires after forty-six (46) years of dedicated service to Northern Regional Hospital. A well-known General Surgeon in the region, Dr. Jackson has been an essential part of the medical staff at Northern since starting his private practice as Surry Surgical Associates in 1978.
Dr. Jackson’s colleagues and staff of Northern General Surgery hosted a retirement reception on Tuesday, July 30, to celebrate Dr. Jackson’s nearly fifty-year legacy in healthcare. A great number of colleagues, patients, family members, and friends gathered to commemorate Dr. Jackson’s tireless dedication while serving our rural community’s healthcare needs. The event was a testament to his commitment and perseverance, which have influenced countless lives for over half a century.
Dr. Jackson has been a mentor to many healthcare professionals and a trusted confidant to his patients. “We are deeply grateful for Dr. Jackson’s unwavering commitment to the health and well-being of our community,” said, Brian Beasley, Vice President of Clinic Operations and Physician Recruitment at Northern Regional Hospital.
