Northern Gastroenterology, a department of Northern Regional Hospital, is recruiting a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing practice. We are seeking candidates to join our group who will be ready to hit the ground running as we continue to expand our services while building a solid career as a member of our team. No hospital rounding or surgery assistance required.
This opportunity offers competitive compensation as a full-time, salaried position. Located in Mount Airy, North Carolina, the Northern Regional Hospital’s Physician Network is a robust and well-established 45+ member multi-specialty group practice including: Family Medicine, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Cardiology, Urology, Gastroenterology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Urgent Care, and Hospitalists.
Northern Regional Hospital is one of largest employers in Mount Airy and the local county. The hospital has 133 beds and offers a state-of-the-art Surgery Center with integrated digital operating rooms, caring surgeons and anesthesia team, Obstetrics and Gynecology unit with Level I Nursery and C-section suite on the unit, a Skilled Nursing Facility, full service Hospitalist program, and an Emergency Department with 36,000 visits annually.
We are located approximately 1.5 hours from Charlotte, 2.5 hours from Raleigh, and 1 hour from Greensboro. Winston-Salem is a short 30 minute drive away for more exclusive shopping and dining experiences. Population in Mount Airy is around 10,000. Surry County has just over 72,000 citizens and the primary service area, which includes southern Virginia, is 80,000+.
